"I am really glad that I have been a part of this project. As an e-Filing volunteer, I helped taxpayers with their e-Filing process. Many taxpayers who came were computer illiterate and I was required to explain the procedure to them. I, a 15-year-old teenager, never imagined I would have a chance to participate in this meaningful event! Before this, I knew nothing about the tax paying procedure. I first attended a briefing at IRAS, to familiarize myself with the system.

I have learnt that I could do my part to serve the community. It was indeed a fruitful experience at Bishan North eClub and the weekends I spent there would stay as a wonderful memory for the rest of my life. In addition, I have made many friends from all walks of life.

The commendation award that I received was an encouragement for my efforts. Through this event, I helped to guide taxpayers who had difficulties filling their income taxes and hoped that in the process, to introduce them a new system of income tax filing. E-Filing income tax is a new skill I have learnt and my knowledge as such was used to help taxpayers. I definitely benefited from this volunteer e-filing service as I am exposed to many new opportunities that were hard to come by. I would continue to spread my knowledge of e-Filing and certainly have enjoyed myself."
