Women with both beauty and brains, the desire of all men. Two lucky guys from the Youth.SG crew had the privilege of meeting 24 gorgeous women at the Miss Singapore Universe 2007 Semi Final and Media Conference held on the 24th of March at Oosh.
Jointly organised by MediaCorp and Derrol Stepenny Promotions, the event is going onto its seventh year in search of that special someone to represent the nation in the Miss Universe pageant.
Hosted by the lovely Jade Seah, the runner-up in last year's competition, the event went underway with the 24 semi-finalists strutting their stuff on the red carpet.

The night also saw the contestants introducing themselves to the media and distinguished guests.

Ms. Rebecca Low, vocal coach for the pageant, told Youth.SG that this year's contestants were quick to learn how to project their personality in front of a large audience. Many were initially surprised that the voice training went beyond the mechanics of breathing, pacing, pronunciation and articulation. The upcoming sessions will sharpen their self awareness and teach them how to think on their feet during the tricky question and answer segment to deliver a witty response.
The pageant would give these ladies a chance to speak from their hearts and live their wildest dreams!
Smiles and all, these girls did whatever they could to impress the panel of judges, which consisted of Chairman of Derrol Stepenny Promotions, Mr. Errol Pang, actress and past winner Jamie Teo, Malaysia's top model, Amber Chia, and other well known personalities.
