Youth.SG were at the latest World Vision press conference, where they presented Victor Wong and Jaymee Ong as their Goodwill ambassadors. Victor Wong is an Award winning male artiste of radio-friendly songs, while Jaymee is an up-and-coming actress and star blogger for The Straits Times online web portal STOMP.com.sg. We are jealous that Jamyee is so pretty, picture perfect and dare I say - flawless.     It was an emotional press conference, in which we witnessed some tears. Personally, I was close to tears during some parts of the press conference.
Before we continue about pretty Jamyee, let us tell you more about what World Vision is about. World Vision is a Christian relief, development and advocacy organization which serves all people regardless of religion, race, ethnicity or gender. Together with Victor Wong and Jaymee Ong, they visited the World Vision supported community in Ranong, Thailand as well as street children drop-in center in Phuket from April 16-21, 2007. In addition, World Vision teaches some of the kids on how to grow crops like corns to earn an income for a living. They also have outreach programs whereby, they go to the streets to persuade the children to stop working as a prostitute by supporting them with free education. However, many of the children who work as prostitutes are controlled by syndicates. Regardless of the danger involved, World Vision does not hestitate to locate and help them out. |
