Five online student deals to ease you into the new semester

TechSchool

Buying that shiny new MacBook Pro may not damage your bank account so much if you use your student card.

If you are a student, chances are you have probably used your student status to snag yourself a discount for this and that. And don't we all love a good deal?

Here are our top five picks of online student deals for some major wallet savings.

Get your student particulars ready to register for these discounts!

Apple Education Store

The deal: Everything on the Apple Education Store is available at a discounted price.

Even if you're not a hipster, you could probably pull it off with Apple products.

The Apple Education Store is separate from the regular one and this is probably the best opportunity to get discounts on their fresh products any time of the year.

The best part is that you are not limited to just one Apple product when purchasing from the Apple Education Store, so you can add multiple items into the cart.

Microsoft Office 365 University Edition

The deal: Microsoft Office 365 4-Year Subscription ($119)

Practically every student's lifeblood depends on Microsoft Office.

You will have to sign in with a registered school account, or provide documents to Microsoft.

While it is probably the cheapest option for students, bear in mind that you will have to pay the standard subscription price once the subscription is up.

Adobe Creative Cloud

The deal: Adobe Creative Cloud (monthly subscription) at 60 per cent off

Unleash the inner artist in you.

The Adobe student discount is the biggest we have seen so far. If you are a media student, this deal is probably the most crucial one for you. But even if you are not, it is still great if you would like some photo or video editing software for your everyday needs.

To get this deal, you will need to prove that you are a student.

As with all Adobe products, you will probably need a high-powered computer for the programmes to run smoothly.

Razer Student Store

The deal: Up to 15 per cent off selected gaming peripherals and laptops

Light up your life with Razer products.

Razer products usually come equipped with RGB lights, giving you the fanciest peripherals that you can use in the middle of lectures.

You will have to provide your student email and wait for them to grant you access to the store.

Note that the discount does not apply to everything on the Razer online store though.

Spotify Premium for Students

The deal: Spotify Premium at $4.99

If your friends judge you for your music taste, at least you can say you have Premium.

Music is life. 'Nuff said.

And you will finally be able to get rid of the annoying ads.

Simply log in to your Spotify account and provide the necessary documents to prove that you are a student. Student identification, school emails or even school timetables would do.

Oh, and Singtel users can pay $7.90 for Spotify Premium, without having to pay data charges for the app’s music streaming.

While most of these deals are for students only, we are pretty sure some non-students will try to find loopholes around this system, such as using another person’s particulars. If you try to game the system, remember that some services, such as Spotify, can terminate the offer at any time.
