The ultimate guide to experiencing the best of the YOUTHx Weekend Festival.

It's that time of year again, folks. A time to celebrate all things youthful, and what better way to celebrate than at the annual YOUTHx weekend festival

Taking over all of Singapore Sports Hub on 3 and 4 August, this festival brings vibrant art installations, exciting musical line-ups and so much more at every turn!

Here's what to check out to make the very best of the YOUTHx weekend:

If you want to #treatyourself – for a good cause,

Music For a Cause (MFAC), Singapore's first music festival dedicated to social causes, is the best place to be!

Acting as YOUTHx's main festival village, MFAC will be taking place at the OCBC Arena Park, providing you with good tunes, delectable food and booths by home-grown entrepreneurs.

MFAC is supporting a total of 16 charities and social causes this year.

If you're looking for unique loot, you may want to take a look at Threads of Syria, selling handmade scarves knitted by Syrian women refugees. And the women are guaranteed a profit of S$20.11 (US$15) per scarf!

This not-for-profit initiative was started by Artisan and Fox to create sustainable livelihoods for refugees.

You can also get an adorable portrait of yourself drawn by Laugh and Belly, a local artist specialising in quirky illustrations. You'll be happy to know that 15% of their earnings will be donated to MFAC's social causes.

If you want to chill out to good beats,

YOUTHx is giving us TWO stages with amazing music - MFAC's stage at the Festival Village (OCBC Arena Park) and the main YOUTHx stage, featuring SHINE LIVE, at the Festival Square (OCBC Square)!

This year's line-up is giving us cool indie, pop and hip-hop acts - and we're not complaining.

Give your ears a treat and catch this Trip-Hop, R&B and Jazz influenced artist.

Make sure you're at the Festival Village at OCBC Arena Park to groove to the first performer of MFAC, Houg, at 4.40pm (3 Aug). This artist-producer gives us all the feels with his lo-fi beats and soothing vocals, joining other acts such as Gareth Fernandez and the Momma Shop and Joanna Dong.

There's something for everybody at YOUTHx, so hip-hop heads, listen up! Axel Brizzy and ShiGGa Shay are both performing at SHINE LIVE starting 8pm onwards on 3 August.

Fariz-Jabba-and-Yung-Raja
Yung Raja and Fariz Jabba has been lighting up Singapore with their electric performances.

You might not want to miss Day 2, though. SHINE LIVE will be starting up at 6.30pm on 4 August, with well-loved act Yung Raja and Fariz Jabba hitting the main stage at 7.10pm.

End your night experiencing the smooth sounds of Singapore's very own Gentle Bones at 8.45pm, followed by Sam Rui closing this year's SHINE LIVE.

If you're feeling peckish,

Head to the F&B booths at the Festival Village (OCBC Arena Park) and grab halal Hispanic cuisine by Black Boys Cubanos and Cantina, or even good ol' traditional popiah by Kway Guan Huat Joo Chiat Popiah.

Other F&B booths include social enterprise Pope Jai Thai, Fish Sh-nack and many more - opening as early as 1pm!
