See the magic that happens when Netflix and popular YouTuber Miranda Sings collide!
Calling all Mirfandas!
Netflix has just released their newest original series depicting the life of Miranda Sings, the hilariously untalented YouTube sensation that we all know and love today.
Set a year before she became popular on YouTube, comedy series Haters Back Off follows Miranda (Colleen Ballinger) on her path to stardom in 2008.
Together with her hypochondriac mother Bethany (Angela Kinsely) and her oddball Uncle Jim (Steve Little), they explore ridiculous ways to catapult Miranda's singing career. Her straightforward sister, Emily (Francesca Reale), keeps her dysfunctional family in check.
Here are five reasons why you need to watch Miranda's antics in Haters Back Off.
1. Miranda keeps true to her crazy self
Miranda Sings is well known for her terrible singing, which she thinks is amazing. That conceitedness is exactly why so many youths, like myself, love to laugh at her!
WHEN ASKED IF HER VOCAL RANGE WAS AN ALTO OR SOPRANO,
MIRANDA REPLIED "I'M AMERICAN".
Plenty of Miranda's quirky phrases and comebacks from her YouTube videos are substantially injected into the series. All of which will leave you laughing and gagging for more.
2. Familiar and new zany characters
Miranda is constantly talking about her mother and her uncle in her YouTube videos. For years, all of her fans were wondering if they would ever make an appearance.
PATRICK (RIGHT) IS MIRANDA'S ONLY FRIEND AND HE HAS A HUGE CRUSH ON HER.
Now, not only do they get to meet her mum and uncle. They also get to meet new captivating characters like Emily and her only fan-boy, Patrick (Erik Stocklin).
3. Get ready to roll on the floor laughing with the cast
Angela Kinsley, who plays Bethany, is brilliant as Miranda's mother. With the help of Bethany's wrist guard, Angela was able to make her imaginary Carpal Tunnel Syndrome legit, especially when she struggles with carrying medium-sized objects.
It took me four episodes to realise that she did not have a medical condition.

Of course, major props to Colleen as she committed to her Miranda persona throughout the series. She nailed joke after joke and was down to do everything that would cause you to giggle yourself silly.
4. You get to witness a new side to Miranda
We only get to see the arrogant and self-obsessive side of Miranda on her videos. Sometimes, we forget that Miranda is a human with emotions just like all of us.

Granted, she is patting herself on the back every time she uses her annoying voice to sing. Oh, and not to forget berating anyone who thinks that she sucks. I can emphatise with her.
5. It is painfully neurotic yet stupidly funny
Nothing can compare to actors who are making a giant fool of themselves for your viewing pleasure. The humour in Haters Back Off is cringe worthy yet amusing. You won't know whether to laugh or cry.
I just do both at the same time because the Miranda character itself is a laughing magnet.
I CANNOT HELP BUT LAUGH AT THE INSANE THINGS SHE SAYS.
Without a doubt, if you love Miranda Sings on YouTube, you will absolutely fall for this eight-episode Netflix series. Overall, it is a commendable effort for a YouTuber such as Colleen, and I cannot wait for more of her Miranda shenanigans!
