Look your best for the rest of 2016 with these awesome styles.
Styles come and go every single year without fail. As the new year beckons in less than two months, new fashion forward trends are bound to appear.
But, do not count these five fashion trends to be passé just yet. These trends will never die down – at least not until summer of 2017.
1. Embellished couture
Minimalist looks are so last season. From iconic fashion houses like Gucci to high street retailers like Zara, apparel with patches and embroidery have made a glorious comeback.

IRON-ON PATCHES ARE A CHEAP AND EASY WAY TO REPURPOSE A STALE OUTFIT.
Both patches and embroidery incorporate intricate and unique designs into modern staples. It is no wonder celebrities such as Suicide Squad actress, Margot Robbie, and former singer, Zayn Malik, were spotted rocking this trend.
Jackets with embellishments are the easiest ways for you to make a statement outfit. However, avoid pairing it with other clothing that feature graphic designs. You do not want to steal the attention away from the statement piece.
2. Reflective shades
Mirrored lenses were originally used for sunglasses for sporting purposes. This year, many brands upped their game by combining mirror lenses with modern styles like aviators and clubmasters.
SUNGLASSES WITH ODD SHAPES (LEFT) ARE ALSO TRENDING.
The metallic finish on these mirrored lenses also gives them a futuristic look that is perfect on anyone. The Kardashian family is very much known for their luxurious shades. Even edgy singer, Rihanna, has released her own line of mirrored sunglasses with Dior.
Mirrored sunglasses go best with a rough and tough outfit. All you would need are some boots, ripped jeans and a faux leather jacket. It is that easy.
3. Pink is in
After Pantone dubbed rose quartz as the colour of 2016, we saw plenty of light pink shades taking over the runways this year.
PINK IS FUN, DON'T BE AFRAID OF IT.
All sorts of shades, from dusty rose to pastel pinks, crept into designer labels. If prominent male celebrities like Drake and Brad Pitt can flaunt their fame in pink, so can many of you guys out there.
Pink may be a colour that is out of our comfort zones. Actually, it's quite simple. Pair your pink pieces with lighter coloured clothing, like white shirts and blue jeans.
4. Neck necessities
No outfit is complete without accessories. Chokers have taken 2016 by storm, making everyone increasingly obsessed with this 90s throwback jewellery.
PLAY WITH ALL KINDS CHOKERS TO SEE WHICH LOOKS BEST ON YOU.
Chokers are not just made of rubber. It comes in all shapes and sizes, and in a variety of luxurious materials like leather, metals, and even jewels.
Unfortunately, chokers are not an accessory you can wear with just any top. Turtle necks and collared tops are a no go because adding on a choker will just make your neck look stubby. Nobody wants that.
5. Distressed is the best
First came the wave of ripped jeans. Now, every single type of clothing has a distressed version, from T-shirts to shoes.
CONVERT YOUR OLD CLOTHES BY TEARING THEM A LITTLE.
Most notably, Kanye West's first batch of his 'Yeezy' clothing line had reintroduced this style to the world, showing everyone that a bit of grunge would not hurt anyone.
Ripped denim are the easiest clothing to pull off for this look. You can customise denim tops or jeans to your height and comfortability. There are a bunch of creative methods of doing your own tearing available online – just Google it up.
Before we wrap up the year, just remember: do not be a drab, look fab instead!
