These famous androgynous people show us how it's done.
Gender is so last century. Dresses for girls, pants for boys – who has time for that? Certainly not these superstars.
Here are three celebrities who are rocking the gender neutral look.
1. Tilda Swinton
UK actress and performance artist Tilda Swinton is well-known not just for her sublime acting, but for her strikingly androgynous features as well.
Tall, slender, fair and with an affinity for short upswept hairstyles, Tilda looks almost ethereal. It's as if she belongs to a totally different realm from us, one where the concept of gender does not even exist.
Maybe, she does belong to some other shapeshifter realm.
I FIRST SAW TILDA AS THE ICE QUEEN IN THE CHRONICLES OF NARNIA: THE LION, THE WITCH AND THE WARDROBE.
Being the absolute chameleon that she is, Tilda surprises us by regularly crossing the boundary between male and female in the acting roles she partakes.
In 2015, she seemed almost unrecognisable as Dianna in the movie Trainwreck, with long dirty-blonde hair and a new tan.
MOVIEGOERS DIDN'T EVEN REALISE THIS WAS TILDA UNTIL MUCH LATER.

This year, she will be in Marvel's Doctor Strange as The Ancient One, a 500-year-old sorcerer with a beard. Just another typical day of blurring lines between genders for Tilda!

2. Jaden Smith
Actor and rapper Jaden Smith does not let his fashion choices be bound by gender. He can usually be seen wearing dresses, skirts and other "feminine" clothing.
Why? Nobody knows really. But we do know that he can work it – in a weird, otherworldly sort of way.

On his Instagram, Jaden captioned one of his photos: "Went to TopShop to Buy Some Girl Clothes, I Mean 'Clothes'." With his soft dresses and flowing skirts, it seems that the 18-year-old actor is being boldly critical of the way gender differences are socially constructed and how it dictates the way we dress.
Kids these days!

Catching onto his unique style, many high-fashion magazines like Vogue have featured him in their photo shoots. I don't know about you, but I welcome the new trend of femininity being the new masculine.
3. Ruby Rose
You've probably seen her as Stella Carlin in hit TV show Orange Is The New Black. An Australian model and VJ with stunningly good looks, Ruby Rose has managed to capture the hearts of people everywhere, regardless of orientation.
All she has to do is smoulder.
THERE'S RUBY ROSE'S SIGNATURE LOOK.
Rose is not afraid to express herself in a way that is considered masculine. She keeps her hair short and wears big-shouldered blazers.

The gender-bending rocker chick also mentioned that she is "gender fluid", and she shows just how fluid gender expression can be in 2014's Break Free, a short film she starred in.
In the emotive piece, Rose starts off as a red-lipped bombshell with long blonde hair who eventually cuts off her hair, reveals all her tattoos and turns into a thick-browed man in a suit. Crazy how such an extreme transformation can be made with just a few small gestures!
