Update your wardrobe by shopping at these local thrift shops offering online delivery options.

I've spent a lot of time this circuit breaker purging my wardrobe and getting rid of unused clothing. Although pulling a Marie Kondo was satisfying, I'm now left with an unexciting closet.

If you're in the same boat, check out these online thrift stores if you want to stay fashionable while being sustainable!

1. The Kint Story

Founded in 2019 by NUS graduates Elisa Goh and Huang Yushu, online thrift store The Kint Story sells second-hand women's clothing for under $50.

They recently launched their Marketplace collection which offers tops from Ralph Lauren, ASOS and more.

Shipping fee: Free registered delivery for orders $50 and above

2. Refash

Refash, a platform for women to buy and sell preloved clothing, has been around since 2016.

What I like about Refash is the way their clothes are categorised for convenience: 'Like New', 'New with Tags' or 'Gently Worn'. The platform also has a list of preferred brands, so you can expect to see many pieces from popular outlets like Pomelo and The Editor's Market.

3. runwayG

Founders Elissa Tan, Maxine Angela Itchon and Wee Melissa created runwayG so that youths and young adults can find unique pieces that fit their individual style.

They're planning to drop a collection with a different theme every month, so expect to see streetwear, vintage clothing and many more in their upcoming launches!

4. Earthythrifts

Earthythrifts was started by 20-year-old Tian Hui in 2019 after she learned more about fashion sustainability.

On her aesthetically-pleasing Instagram page, you can find unique gems like vintage clothing and bags with interesting prints sourced by Tian Hui herself.

She also launches a new collection at least once a month.

5. Givemetheweekend (GMTW)

This second-hand shop was created by a media student after she saw some accounts on Instagram selling off their old clothes.

GMTW offers a mix of preloved and thrifted clothes, sourced from local thrift stores, in each drop.

6. Spruce

Spruce sells clothes in a wide variety of styles, including Y2K-era and vintage-inspired pieces with bold colours and prints. The clothes are mainly sourced from local and overseas thrift stores.

Spruce typically posts a new collection every week and packs their clothes in used poly mailers to reduce plastic waste.

Look out for handmade corset tops, reworked by the shop owner, in the future!

7. SADCATSHOP

If you happen to come across their Instagram page, you'll see the owner Elisabeth modelling many quirky and colourful pieces which she's sourced from Carousell.

Besides clothes, Elisabeth also sells accessories like earrings, bags and sunglasses. She usually posts new items for sale twice a month.

This list is definitely non-exhaustive as there are many other online shops selling thrifted goods at wallet-friendly prices.

If you're looking to buy new clothes during the circuit breaker season, do consider thrifting or buying second-hand to help reduce fashion waste.
