The Singapore National Para Games (SNPG) is a ground-breaking event for disability sports in Singapore.
It provides an outlet for persons with disabilities who have been exposed to sports at a recreational and developmental stage to gain meaningful experiences and motivation through competitive settings. Not only that, talents had been discovered through this platform, allowing PWDs to shine on international stages thereafter.
Throughout the years, the SNPG has witnessed a remarkable blend of mature and new talents benefiting from the competitions with better skills, higher levels of confidence, as well as newfound friendships and support networks. More importantly, the SNPG is an important statement to all Singaporeans that everyone, including PWDs, can access better living through sports.
This year, we are excited to hold the finale event at the Sports Hub, with a public festival to engage the wider community to join us in discovering the abilities in disability sports.
Open to everyone of all ages, participants would be able to have a go at different stations to redeem small prizes, and a commemorative medal, if they complete the medal stations.
For persons with disabilities who would like to try out sports for the first time, this will be the best chance to explore your interests and speak to Singapore Disability Sports Council on the opportunities.
