This workshop aims to equip woodworkers with the ability to construct a bookshelf from rough sawn timber. You will learn to use the jointer and thicknesser to mill a couple of planks of New Zealand Clear Pine before cutting them to size on a panel saw.
By building your own Greene and Greene Inspired bookshelf, you will also learn how to join wood together to form larger panels, and basic shelf/ cabinet construction. It features the Greene and Greene cloud lift motif, dado joints and rounded edges.
Besides, you learning how to use heavy machinery and have access to all the power equipment at XPC, you will bring home a Greene and Greene Inspired Bookshelf that you construct from scratch by yourself. It serves as a display and a sure conversation starter about your woodworking powers.
